We currently have 292 pupils at the school with a two class intake at Foundation Stage. As your children move into year 1 each year band is made up of up to 45 pupils. The classes are split into Y1, Y1/2, Y2/3 and then 3/4, 4, 5, 5/6 and 6. Children are divided by age except for a few very exceptional circumstances.

Topics and knowledge based subjects are taught in a two year cycle ensuring pupils do not repeat topics.  Skills are taught and revisited in every class giving children repeated opportunity to practice and develop these.  Staff work very closely together ensuring the same standards are achieved in parallel classes.  Planning, teaching and learning are all assessed and monitored.
