The Application System
Applying to our school is a simple process.

For a child beginning school for the first time:

  • A child may begin school in the September after they are four years old.
  • In order to do this the parent or carer must fill in an application form and send the form to South Gloucestershire Council.  
  • These forms are contained in a parent’s booklet freely available from local post offices, playgroups, our school and the local council.
  • The deadline for returning the form is usually the middle of October the year before the September start date.
  • All necessary information is on the form.
  • All children can apply to our school, there is no exclusive catchment area.
  • All applications are handled by South Gloucestershire Council in line with their admissions policy.
  • Parents are notified of the outcome in the spring.

For a pupil transferring from another school:
  • First check with the school that we have a space
  • Complete an application form available from the school office and return this to South Gloucestershire Council
  • The decision is usually made within a week
  • The pupil may start within the next two weeks
