Charging for School Activities |

All school policies are available for parents to see; copies may be obtained from the secretary’s office. In brief the school may charge a parents for: - Board and lodging on residential visits during school time. (Remission is possible for parents in receipt of certain support benefits.)
- Residential visits outside school time.
- Instrumental tuition for up to and including four pupils.
- Breakages and replacements as a result of damages caused wilfully or negligently by pupils.
- Extra curricular activities and externally contracted school clubs.
Parents will be invited to make a voluntary contribution for the following: - Travel, insurance and entrance fees for Day visits
- Residential trips during school time to meet costs other than children’s board and lodgings.
- Theatre and music groups invited to perform in school.
- Materials for cookery, pottery or craft.
The pupil of the parents who are unable or unwilling to contribute will not be discriminated against. Where there are not enough voluntary contributions to make the activity possible, then it must be cancelled.
